The Christmas season is upon us and in honor of Christmas our lovely government has decided to give us more government. The gift of health care with socialism wrapping and a big pro-abortion bow- just what I wanted! It's like their Christmas gift to America, only they don’t celebrate Christmas, because that offends people. I find it disgustingly ironic that the voting on this bill takes place on Christmas Eve. A time to be celebrating the birth of our Savior and the senate hopes to celebrate the birth of a new bill of slavery. No wonder liberals hate Christmas- it’s about freedom, life, and oh, the TRUE Savior of hope.

If liberals had their way the baby Jesus wouldn’t have been born. Think about it, Mary was the perfect stereotype for abortion: too young, unwed; how dare we force a pregnancy on her! Yet, Mary understood the meaning of life. A young, virgin, teenage girl, many of us can relate to her life. However, I can’t imagine the emotions attached with carrying God’s only Son and mankind’s Salvation. The joy of being chosen by God, the hurt of accusations and snubs from friends and family, I’m sure she faced it all. At any point the pro-choice movement would have screamed- “Abort! Abort!” After all, she didn’t deserve to go through an "unplanned pregnancy.” On the contrary, the Lord chose her to be the mother of Jesus, just as He chooses the mother of every baby born….or aborted.

Taking the life of a baby is not a choice. Abortion doesn’t solve any problems or magically give you a new start. I can’t even fathom how mothers can KILL their own children and justify it by petty and selfish things like a career or simply an "inconvenience."  It’s your precious baby! Abortion isn’t a pregnancy alternative; it just makes you the mother of a dead baby.  Not many things break my heart more than abortion and now Congress is pushing a government death bill that includes more abortions funded by our tax dollars? The birth of Christ offends? Requiring my money to pay for the slaughter of innocent babies offends me and is completely outrageous! The American people have said they don’t want this bill; the government officials don’t even want what is in the bill for their own healthcare!

December 25, 2009 we might be waking up to a whole new America. Has America become the place our Founding Fathers left behind, in search of a free land? I’m sure they would have revolted long before this, because back then Patriotism was a noble calling, not a crime. Despite what the jolly ‘O left ruin, they can never take away the true meaning of Christmas.
Jesus was born. Jesus died. Jesus rose from the dead. Jesus is coming again.

We’ve already won. They’re not “offended” they are defeated. Don’t forget that! (They sure haven’t.)

  And with that-Merry Christmas! :)

Role Call 08/19/2009

The first time I watched that video, I wanted to cry. Our nation is being attacked, but this terrorist has been around since the fall of man.
That voice that whispered lies into the ears of Eve whispers lies into the ears of women today. The lies that cause girls to dress immodestly, the lies that cause women to pursue careers, and the lies that mothers believe when they kill their own children, through abortion. All root from the same sin of rebellion: rebellion against God’s original role for women.

Genesis 2:18 “And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.”

Ladies, we were created to serve. As daughters we serve our fathers. As wives we serve our husbands. Our mission is submission. We don’t need to “prove ourselves.” In God’s eyes we have equal VALUE with man, but we do not have equal roles. We were created the weaker vessel. Instead of trying to fight against that and trying to become more “manly”, we should work on developing our roles and skills to help complete the men in our lives. The “independence” for women has been the greatest oppressor of women. Enslaving girls at a young age to the lie that they must fight and compete to be better than boys…"Girls rule, boys drool!”  In return, men then view women as an equal competitor and they are treated as such, forfeiting the need of protection and courtesy men offer to ladies. Yes, of course we are strong enough to open our own doors, but that proves nothing. Encouraging men to act like gentlemen, by acting feminine, creates structure and order. Men were created to be the head. When we allow them their role as leader, protector, and provider, in return we have purpose, protection, and provision.

Sadly, however, the root of rebellion is very strong. Check out this twitter bio of some woman:

“It is now time for me to focus on building a future for myself, financial independence. To develop my identity rather than just being some one's Mum.”

The sin of self is hard to fight. Self promotion has become more important than serving others and making a name for ourselves has selfishly aborted and prevented millions of others from even having a name. Under the banner of “rights” and “choice” we have brought our culture to the edge of extinction. Americans seem to like protecting endangered species;…ironic Americans are now on that list. (Oh, but we have plenty of trees.) The next generations will become fewer and fewer, because the all important title of Mommy is being replaced with a suffix and degree. When people ask me what I am doing for college and I tell them I am taking classes online, to get my teaching degree, with out fail they reply something like, “Oh, wonderful, we need more good teachers!” To which I always explain that my teaching degree will be for homeschooling my kids and not because I need a degree to know how to teach, but so people cannot tell me I don’t have the right to teach my own children. (This is normally followed by an awkward silence or a change of subject.) The truth is we do not need more “good teachers”….not female ones anyway. The same goes for lawyers, doctors, judges, presidents, etc. A qualified man can fill all those positions, but man can never fill the job of motherhood. So you win a court case, pass a few bills, create a new law, get a promotion, whatever gratification you seek from a career, what does it compare to the miracle of new life? How does it measure up to the eternal picture? Only souls are eternal and children are the heritage of the Lord. Girls are using their natural mothering instincts for the benefit of others and themselves, and meanwhile we have a femininity famine. Our nation is mother deficient. The devil knows how to whisper lies of independence, just ask Eve. Our role as helpmeet and our call to motherhood is not oppression, it is a divine calling appointed by God. We need to be the “role”models to our generation. Will you answer the Role Call?

One third of my generation is missing. One third of my generation is not here today. Where did they go? Oh, they never were here. One third of my generation was killed, before they were born. Many people take abortion lightly, maybe because they do not realize the severity of the issue. Abortion is real, abortion is murder, and since 1973 abortion has claimed over 50 million innocent lives just in the United States. Why is this? A lot of it weighs on the most important question, “Is the unborn child human?” Today I would like to talk about the humanity of the unborn baby. First I will cover why the unborn baby is human on the biological level, then with some logical deductions, illustrate the baby’s humanity on the philosophical level. Finally, I will go over the spiritual issues against abortion. We begin with the humanity of the unborn baby on the physical level. What would you think a person would need to have in order to be classified as human? A brain? A heart? Blood? After about eighteen days the baby’s heart begins to beat, and often pumping a different blood type than the mother’s. A little over a month, the baby is thinking, for the brain is present at 6 weeks. They have fingernails at eleven weeks and eyelashes at twelve weeks. They hiccup, they sleep, they smile, they are fully human, and they are living beings like you and me. The unborn babies have personalities, they have their own habits. My first sonogram picture, I was sucking my thumb. Psalms 139:13 says, “For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother’s womb. I will praise thee for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.” Why do people think the unborn are not human? They react to noises, they get excited, the grimace when they feel pain, and smile when they are happy. They are curious, and they have a body, soul, and spirit, just like everyone else. If the new born baby is human, why isn’t the unborn? People have their own justifications for abortion, which brings me to the second point, arguments on the philosophical level. Steven Schwartz, in his book, “The Moral Questions of Abortion” says the newborn baby and the unborn baby differ in four ways: Size, environment, development, and dependency. If size makes you human, are adults more human than children? If size determines humanity, football players would have to be the most human of all! Are taller people more human? Since the answer is no, size would seem irrelevant in defining human. What about environment? Does the un-born child, contained in the womb, suddenly become human when he leaves the birth canal? The birth canal is approximately eight inches. Does traveling 8 inches magically change the status from un-born to human? Discover magazine ran an article of surgeries preformed on un-born babies only 21-24 weeks old. The doctors partially removed these babies from the womb, to operate on the spinal disks and repair herniated diaphragms. At only 21 weeks old, did these un-born babies suddenly become human when removed from the womb, then return to a fetus when they were replaced? Obviously not, so environment is also irrelevant. Finally development and dependency. The un-born are less developed than the newborn and their dependency on their mother is greater. Does this make them less human? Studies show that people do not reach their peek of development till age 40, does this mean those under the age of 40 are less human? What about those dependant on medications or pace makers, does their dependency on something else to live make them non-human? Surely not, so viability and development are then also irrelevant in defining what is human. So if all four are irrelevant, in defining human, and the baby is human on the physical level, then let’s move on to the final point, the spiritual or moral aspect of abortion. If the unborn child is human, than killing the baby is murder. No matter what someone believes, most people will agree murder is wrong. When Noah left the ark, God gave him two commands: to produce life, and to protect life. Genesis 9:7 says, “Be ye fruitful and multiply; bring forth abundantly in the earth, and multiply therein.” Just in the book of Genesis alone, God commands five times to be fruitful and multiply. I think there are two victims in abortion, the baby, and a lot of times the mother. Girls that get abortions are not the women you see marching around the pro-choice rallies, these girls are young, scared, and they have been fed the lie that abortion is not killing a baby. If it is not a baby, what is it? But they feel helpless, desperate, and abortion seems their only choice. Abortion clinics prey on teenage girls that have made a mistake. These girls are not evil, they wouldn’t kill the baby if they truly understood it was a baby, but they are told it is “just a clump of tissue” and all they want is to escape the consequence of their actions, so they buy the lie. The Bible views the life of the unborn baby as sacred and just as precious as the newborn baby. Psalms 127:3 says, “Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord: and the fruit of the womb is His reward.” If only more people understood that from the moment of conception, a baby is a living human being, abortion might be rethought by many people. Being pro-choice is a myth, it is either pro-life or pro-abortion, there is no choice, and if there is, where is the baby’s choice? One third of my generation is missing. One third of my generation is not here today. Being pro-life means being pro-future, and the decisions we make today will affect us and the next generations the rest of our lives. I wasn’t around in 1973, when the supreme court legalized abortion, but it is affecting my culture, my nation, my world. One third of my generation has been aborted.

    Speech 2009

    Author:Nicole

I really enjoy speaking and writing. Here are some verses the Lord has put in my life as encouragement to me, with my speeches and writings. :)

Exodus 4:11-12 And the LORD said unto him, Who hath made man's mouth? or who maketh the dumb, or deaf, or the seeing, or the blind? have not I the LORD? Now therefore go, and I will be with thy mouth, and teach thee what thou shalt say.

Jeremiah 1:6-7,9 Then said I, Ah, Lord GOD! behold, I cannot speak: for I am a child. But the LORD said unto me, Say not, I am a child: for thou shalt go to all that I shall send thee, and whatsoever I command thee thou shalt speak. Then the LORD put forth his hand, and touched my mouth. And the LORD said unto me, Behold, I have put my words in thy mouth.
