A timeless classic from 1938, this movie captures the essence of what’s really important in life. The Sycamore family encourages each household member to pursue their dreams, no matter how crazy. With everything from banister sliding to fireworks, the house is always alive with noisy fun. The Kirby’s are a wealthy, narrow-minded, self-important family who’s greatest ambitions focus on money. When Alice Sycamore (Jean Arthur) and Tony Kirby (Jimmy Stewart) fall in love, their families are thrust together in an unforgettable series of events that threatens to ruin everyone’s happiness. Will the good-natured and fun-loving way of life overcome or will greed and arrogance dominate? A definite must see with clean, uplifting humor and old fashioned charm.

Mr. Smith Goes to Washington

I recommend going out and getting this movie as soon as possible. After the events of the Health Care Bill Saturday it felt like something straight out of this movie!

Plot: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mr._Smith_Goes_to_Washington

This movie is classified as a comedy, but I really didn’t find it funny. I found Jefferson Smith’s love of Washington DC refreshing as well as his passion to do the right thing. The events that transpire mirror DC and our elected officials today. *Spoiler* While good triumphs in the end, the ending seems abrupt. My love of justice wanted to see evil punished, but the overall movie is excellent for the whole family.

The Widow's Might

The Widow's Might
Personally, I LOVE The Widow's Might. I think it is incredible! 100% family friendly. The music in the movie has become my top MP3 playlist. (The songs are always stuck in my head!) The morals and character traits taught in the movie are exactly what this site has been about promoting: standing up for justice, men leading their families, homeschool families making a difference, and Christians taking a stance in politics.
The movie is now being sold at Lifeway Christian Stores for around $15, and you can pre-order it on Amazon.com for $17.99. (Or on their site for the same price.) http://www.widowsmightthemovie.com/

Night at the Museum 2
I didn't like it as much as I liked the first one. The corny humor was awesome. The feminist agenda, being pushed by Amelia, was annoying. "It's because I'm a woman" blah blah...lol
I think they took the Lord's name in vain 2-3 times and two cuss words. (Well, used the same cuss word twice....Which was completely unnecessary. One comes from Amelia, and my mouth dropped,....you aren't excepting it. It's not "terrible" per say, but it's like they put in in there to further her "independence.")
There is some dark magic/ evil moments,..mild and brief, but slightly creepy. There was also some mild innuendo.
There is one scene with Larry and another night guard, at the beginning, and I would watch the movie just to see that scene again. XD SO funny. There are some extremely funny moments and quotes in the movie....I just wanted to give you a run down on the negatives. lol
